Profil is one of the leading publishing houses in Croatia. Established in 1991, Profil was soon recognized as the publisher of high-quality schoolbooks, literature, non-fiction and children’s books. Today, Profil publishes over 200 new titles a year. It has over 250 employees, its own printing house, bookstores in all major Croatian towns and the biggest multimedia bookstore in the region – Profil Megastore in Zagreb.

Profil’s scholastic publications include textbooks, workbooks, teacher’s books and numerous additional materials, such as texts, atlases, interactive atlases, flash cards, teaching films, etc., covering all primary-school and most secondary-school subjects.

Our schoolbooks are the result of serious and dedicated teamwork of editors, prominent scientists, methodologists, experienced school teachers, reviewers, as well as graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and many other associates.

Appreciating our significant role in the educational process, we have set as our goal the advancement of the quality of teaching practice, and making both teaching and learning creative and enjoyble for everyone involved. To this end, we create schoolbooks which are in tune with the latest methodological achievements, but which also meet the specific needs of our teachers and pupils. We never forget that school education is not only about acquiring a knowledge of facts and skills; it affects the whole personality. Therefore, we are trying hard to reinforce positive values and encourage pupils to think creatively and to take a more active role in the educational process.
